Stock Market
The last decade (2000 - 2010) is now being coined as the lost decade as well. One can say that all things material just literally disappeared from existence after the markets started going downhill. This makes me wonder the purpose and inefficiencies of stock markets and the like. Speculation can make or break a person's retirement account, bring down a company, bring down a country as well.
